A lot has been said about the case of Apple being involved with AirPods Max. Beyond putting headphones in ultra-low power mode, it doesn’t provide much protection. However, the lack of functionality is an opportunity for third-parties. Today, Waterfield Designs is announcing the new AirPods Max case that will also put headphones in ultrallo power mode.
I have been using one of the Waterfield design bags for my Mabook Air for most of the 2020s, and I can say without a doubt that it is all my favorite laptop bag, so I was really excited to hear about their new product.

They have requested a case that will look compact, protective, professional and capable of carrying a few accessories. They were equally divided regarding the ly pal smart case; One camp wants a case that includes the Apple Paul Smart case while another wants a case that replaces it together and puts the headphones in low-power mode. Making a case that satisfies both camps and addresses their other desires as well was an exciting challenge. ”
There are a lot of cheap cases on the market, but the case of Waterfield Designs is really the case that Apple Play should have sent. Inside the case is a magnetic leather butterfly that will trigger Ultrallo Power Mode when the AirPods Max is stored inside without its case. If you want to use the Apple Pal case, the butterfly will be flat.
There is also a stretch mesh pocket with leather closure that will fit a 5W to 20W Apple Pul power adapter and charging and headphone cord, so you can store everything you need for your AirPods Max from the inside.
The case comes in black, blue or intrusive colors, and also includes a dual zipper so you can charge your AirPods Max while still closed. Of course, it has a plush lining on the inside as it is said to be as soft as a puppy ear, so your AirPods Max will feel brand new.
