The cast of the 80’s classic Ferris Bueller’s day off they have come together as part of Josh Gad’s web series ‘Reunited Apart’.
the Frozen The actor has brought together famous movie actors for a series of blocking webcam specials, including The Goonies, The Lord of the Rings and Ghostbusters.
For the last in the series, Gad teamed up with Matthew Broderick, Alan Ruck, Mia Sara, and Jennifer Gray from the cult classic John Hughes..
Lyman Ward and Cindy Pickett, who portrayed Bueller’s parents as well as economics professor Ben Stein’s star, also joined the reunion as the cast spoke of their memories of the movie. Fan Jake Gyllenhaal also tuned in to ask trivia, while director Kenny Ortega, who choreographed the movie’s famous parade scene, also appeared.
The episode ended with a tribute to John Hughes, who died in 2009, along with other stars from his films, including Molly Ringwald, Steve Martin, Catherine O’Hara, Michael Keaton, Judd Nelson, and Anthony Michael Hall, recreating lines.
The episode raised money for CORE, which “provides financial assistance when a food and beverage employee with children faces a health crisis, death, or natural disaster.”
Gad’s Previous Ghostbusters At the reunion, stars Bill Murray, Dan Akroyd, Ernie Hudson, Sigourney Weaver, Annie Potts, William Atherton, director Ivan Reitman and their son Jason Reitman appear together. Topic writer Ray Rayer Jr, fan Kumail Nanjiani, and stars Steven Tash, Jennifer Runyon, Michael Ensign, and Timothy Carhart were also tuned in.
That episode originally aired in early June, though Gad delayed it the following week.
Ferris Bueller’s day off was made available to Netflix subscribers in April.
