Washington Post Reaches $ 250 Million Deal With Covington Teen Nick Sandmann

The Washington Post agreed on Friday to settle a monstrous $ 250 million lawsuit filed by Covington Catholic High School student Nick Sandmann for his failed coverage of his 2019 encounter with an elderly Native American.

Sandmann declared victory in a tweet when he turned 18. It is unclear how much the newspaper paid.

“On 02/19/19, I filed a $ 250 million defamation lawsuit against the Washington Post. Today I turned 18 and WaPo resolved my lawsuit, “he wrote.

“Thanks to @ToddMcMurtry and @LLinWood for their defense. Thank you to my family and millions of you who have stood firm in supporting me. I still have more to do, “he continued.

It is the teenager’s second victory in a massive $ 800 million smear battle against various media outlets, including the Washington Post, CNN, ABC, CBS, The Guardian, The Hill, and NBC.

CNN agreed to reach a settlement with Sandmann in January this year as part of a separate claim of $ 275 million.

Sandmann and a group of his Covington classmates were vilified on social media after they were filmed in “Make America Great Again” hats after an anti-abortion rally while protesters yelled at them.

Sandmann, who was 16 at the time, was singled out after CNN and other media outlets claiming that the incident was racially motivated captured footage of his confrontation with Native American activist Nathan Phillips.

Images released later showed that Covington students were being bullied.

In a later tweet on Friday, Sandmann fired a warning shot at Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey.

We have established ourselves with WAPO and CNN. The fight is not over. 2 below. 6 to go. Do not hold your breath @jack, “he wrote.
