Black Friday sales start earlier this year, as early as Sunday, if you aren’t counting on Black Friday-adjacent sales that have already taken place from there. The “Doorbuster” of previous years is now a special online special, starting at a standstill.

And if you think the competition for that favorite item has been bad in years past, try to connect, wait until it comes across a computer or mobile device.

“Last year, you probably had 100 or more people with you,” says Jean Munster, an analyst and investor at Loop Ventures. “This year, it will be hundreds of thousands. It will be a refreshing game.”
