Voting: Majority Republicans, Independents believe Trump will run in 2024

Despite Trump’s legal challenges, the transition to the Biden administration is well underway, with Biden announcing a number of planned key administrative nominations in the past few weeks.

Wednesday’s vote saw Democrats largely react to Biden’s election. But most respondents – Democrats and Republicans alike – were unable to identify potential nominees.

For example, 100 percent of Democrats approved Biden’s nomination for Secretary of State, Anthony Blinken, rather than just a percent rejection. But 45 percent said they did not know or had no opinion. Thirty percent said they knew nothing about him. Overall, 1 percent of respondents said they had never heard of Blinkon.

Defendants responded similarly to the selection of Biden for Janet Yellen, Secretary of the Treasury, who had a strong public presence as the first woman to chair the Federal Reserve. Eighty percent of Democrats said they favored Yellen, but 37 percent of Democrats and 44 percent of Republicans said they either had no opinion or knew nothing about Yellen.
