Breaking news
Welp, here is a first …
A big college football star is choosing to exit the 2020 NCAA football season out of COVID concerns, and will instead prepare for the NFL 2021 Draft.
The player is the Virginia Tech star. Caleb Farley – One of the best cornerbacks in the country. He made the first All-ACC team in 2019 after recording 20 tackles, 4 photos and a TD.
But, Farley says he will NOT be returning to VT for his third year because, frankly, he doesn’t feel safe with the pandemic still in full swing.

“I am choosing not to participate due to uncertain health conditions and regulations and all the other exclusion options that are happening in soccer right now,” Farley said in a video statement Wednesday.
“Tragically I lost my mother Robin on January 2, 2018 to illness and I cannot afford to lose another parent or loved one.”
The good news for Farley … some experts already have him scheduled as a first-round pick in 2021.
The bad news for Virginia Tech … is a great loss for that defense.
In fact, 247Sports Farley Classified as the 16th best college football player in the 2021 season.
“Although the competitor inside me wants to play this season, I cannot ignore what is happening in my heart and I must make the decision that will give me more peace,” added Farley.
“Thank you Virginia Tech, my coaches, teammates and anyone else who has supported me in the past.”
The question now … with so much uncertainty surrounding college football, will other big stars do the same?
Stay tuned …
