Viral Trump impersonator Sarah Cooper lands comedy specifically on Netflix

Sarah Cooper, who became famous during the coronavirus outbreak with her viral impressions of President Trump, has landed a Netflix special.

Netflix announced Wednesday that their new comedy special “Sarah Cooper: Everything’s Fine” will premiere this fall.

The program is described as a “variety specially filled with vignettes that address issues of politics, race, gender, class and other bright topics” and will feature special guests who will participate in interviews and sketches.

The special is directed by Natasha Lyonne, known for starring in Netflix shows “Orange is the New Black” and “Russian Baby”, and is produced by Cooper, Lyonne, as well as Maya Rudolph, Danielle Renfrew, and Paula Pell.

Cooper became a direct viral sensation with her TikTok videos featuring President Trump’s latest soundbites and lip-syncing about her with quite a few appearances. Many of her most-watched videos were inspired by clips from Trump’s coronavirus information programs, while others came from various press conferences and interviews.

Each of her videos has garnered tens of millions of views on social media, landing herself with more than 2.2 million Twitter followers.

As the only celebrity to make a name for himself in the midst of the pandemic, Cooper appeared late last night on “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” and “The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon” in the lead role. ” She even hosted “Jimmy Kimmel Live” earlier this week while host Jimmy Kimmel was on vacation.

Many critics of President Trump also speculate that he took action to ban TikTok in the United States because of the popularity of Cooper’s videos instead of the Chinese government’s influence of TikTok’s China-based parent company ByteDance over cyber security threats.
