Vince McMahon has apparently given up on another WWE star and that’s Shayna Baszler.
Fightful Select reported earlier this week that the only known reason within WWE regarding her condition was the fact that she was neither injured nor ill, but was simply not being booked on WWE television.
It was previously reported that Baszler was originally supposed to win the Money Ladder Match at Bank. This happened just a month after she lost to Becky Lynch for the Raw Women title at WrestleMania.
The idea at the time was that Baszler would eventually win the title by having her win the MITB briefcase. However, the WWE President and CEO rejected those plans and left with Asuka.
Dave Meltzer reported in the latest issue of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that “Vince was also completely enraged with Baszler because he never conceptually understood the style that an MMA fighter should wear in professional wrestling and does not check his buttons when it comes to wrestling women free, so he made the call to take the push away and get her off the television. “
Meltzer added that this was all before Paul Heyman was removed from being the CEO of Raw. Of course, Heyman wanted to train younger stars to make them future big stars for the company.
As seen since Bruce Prichard took over the role, he relies on past stars like Big Show and Ric Flair on Monday Night Raw.
