Wytsing defensive end Danielle Hunter has not trained since August 14th.
The absence of hunters has been over for some, seeing how important he is to the Minnesota defense. Vikings coach Mike Zimmer recently cleared the air about the situation with reporters.
Zimmer said Hunter is out because of “adjusting a bit,” according to ESPN’s Courtney Cronin. The coach added that the defensive end “gets a little better every day.”
Hunter’s return to practice is up to athletic trainer Eric Sugarman, Zimmer said, fia Cronin.
Hunter comes out two consecutive seasons with 14.5 sacks. In 2019, he became the youngest player in NFL history to reach 50 sacks.
Now that defensive end Everson Griffen has gone somewhere else, Hunter is the most solid starter on defensive end. The defensive end against him will be a less experienced player than before.
The Vikings will still need a big year from him to keep the pasrush where it has been in recent seasons.
