April Fools’ Day is approaching, and Verizon has voluntarily stepped in with deals that seem too good to be true – especially for those who have a broken, useless phone. U.S. The carrier recommends that from tomorrow, April 1, customers will be able to buy new 5G phones, such as the iPhone 12, or Samsung’s Galaxy S21. Up to 1000 can trade in “old, cracked, or water damaged phone”. The promo does not extend the battery to damaged phones (for security issues).
If you are on a different carrier and want to open a new line and port your number to Verizon’s network, you will get the most out of this deal. But even current customers can get some savings. You can find the price of your phone online online or at any of its retail stores, however if you plan to visit in person, the company encourages you to make an appointment on its store locator page or through the My Verification app. The page will go live on this page from April 1.
So, here’s a nice print (there’s a lot in it, but if you think you can try for a bargain, it’s worth a try):
- Eligibility requires upgrading to Verizon’s Unlimited plans with 5G or adding a new line and number porting.
- New lines and phone numbers for port-ins or existing customers, lining up from a different network: you can get a $ 300 Verizon e-gift card for iPhone trade-in, or a $ 200 card for Android phone (sent to you) Is) eight weeks after the transaction)
- Stacked on it for new lines and port-ins (and also applies to existing customers who want to add a line, but don’t port to a number): You can get $ 700 in monthly credit, sent your way to iPhone Trade- In or up to 800 for a qualified Android phone (sent to you as a credit every month for a period of 24 months)
- If you’re just upgrading your phone, but only a broken phone to trade, Verizon will save you 40 440
- There is no limit to how many people can trade in a broken phone per account to take advantage of the deal
- This is a “limited time” offer, but Verizon will not share when it expires
Once all is said and done, your account will eventually have a Ver 300 Verizon credit, and / or an additional credit you earn each month, which will reduce the cost of your monthly bill. He will not invest in buying an expensive and new 5G phone, but will soften the blow a little by spreading credits over time.
Verizon did not share exactly how much trade-in value each phone had, but it does offer a list of phones that are in the “high value” category and others that receive a “low value”.
