Velveteen Dream made its return on the weekly episode of WWE NXT.
Dream was the mystical person in a Triple Threat Match to determine who would go on to TakeOver: XXX to compete for the North American Championship. Cameron Grimes picked Kushida to win the match.
It’s been many weeks since Dream was seen on WWE NXT TV after accusations surfaced claiming he had sent unusual photos to at least one underage person. At one point there were rumors that he would get released, but those rumors died down.
It’s unclear if the allegations were not considered credible as if WWE has the choice to ignore them so they can have him back on their shows.

After the match, Dream lost his temper and then he ended up face-to-face with Finn Balor. Next week it will be Balor vs. Dream of being in a second chance game to determine who advances to the North American Championship game at TakeOver: XXX.
