Eddie Van Halen’s family is in mourning but his time with Rocker is finally celebrated.
The musician’s ex-wife, Valerie Bertinelli, posted a series of photos of the throw on social media, highlighting some of the big moments in their relationship, from the Christmas festivities to spending time with their son Wolfgang.
Bertinelli posted old photos on her Instagram story. The first was captured on August 28, 1980, the day he wrote in the caption that they met. This picture shows the former couple from Shreveport, LA embracing. In another photo from the same night, Van Halen suffocates with a packet of M&M in his mouth.
Van Halen married Bertinelli between 1981 and 2001 before their divorce. The couple divorced in 2006 after five years.

Although their marriage ended, they remained friendly and reportedly attended each other’s second wedding. Bertinelli is now married to Tom Vitale and Van Hale to Jenny Liszewski. At the time of his death, Van Halen was married to Liszuski.
In the second photo, the two are seen celebrating Christmas in 1980. They are both in the game of dark, curly hair. Another shows the pair laughing together on a bed at the Los Angeles Forum in the early ’80s, and in the final photo, the previous pair holding Wolf in Central Park in 1993 were both smiling.
Following the news of the death of the guitar legend from cancer on Tuesday, Bertinelli released a statement on social media. Van Halen was 65 years old.
