There are few friends like those of K-pop idols V and Jimin. These two grew up together and, although they fight as brothers, they are family members. Would V and Jimin ever collaborate on another song? This is what these BTS singers said about their subunit and the Soul Map: 7 song, “Friends”.
Jimin and V released a song together for ‘Map of the Soul: 7’, titled ‘Friends’
Although there are seven members in BTS, there is only one kind and sweet Jimin and one hilarious and unique V. These two are singers in the K-pop group, who eventually joined forces for the album. Soul Map: 7. There, they performed the song titled “Friends”, forming a subunit called “95s”.
This song mentioned the journey of these two idols, from when they went to school together until when they had a discussion about the meatballs, to the close and soul-like relationship they have today.
“I liked it because it wasn’t predictable, it was very original,” said V. They both delved into their stylistic choices during a video for BTS’s YouTube channel, even sharing their thoughts on future collaborations as the “95s” subunit.
Would V and Jimin release a song together again?
Although nothing has been confirmed by this K-pop group, Jimin and V mentioned collaborating in the future. It is totally a possibility, especially due to the success of “Friends”. However, V still rated it a 30, even though the other BTS subunits rated their respective songs 100 on a scale of 100.
“For us, we have to say that ‘even a song like this is worth 30 points,’ so when we release more songs, they will be better than this,” V said jokingly. Jimin applauded in response, but took V’s response one step further.
“Does that mean you will collaborate with me again?” Jimin asked, to which V replied, “of course.” Jimin continued, saying, “Do it. To collaborate. You always say you will, but you never do.
“I will do my best,” said V, consolidating his score of 30.
V and Jimin have solo songs on other BTS albums
However, the idol, V, has been considerably busy. Some believe V’s first mixtape is on its way, although he has already released some songs as a solo artist.
That includes “Winter Bear”, a song written and performed entirely in English, their second language. In addition to their duet on “Friends,” both V and Jimin have their own solo songs with BTS. For V, that includes “Singularity” outside of Love yourself: answer.
For Jimin that means “Serendipity” outside of Love yourself: answer. BTS music, including the single “Stay Gold” and Soul Map: 7, is available to stream on platforms like Spotify and Apple Music.
