A 20-year-old man in Colorado was found in the United Kingdom confirmed to be a COVID-19 variant, Colorado officials announced Tuesday.

Colorado officials said the man, who has no travel history, is in solitude in Albert County.

A press release from the governor’s office said public health officials were conducting a thorough investigation. “The person does not yet have close contacts known, but public health officials are working to identify other potential cases and contacts through full contact tracing interviews.”

The variables are all the same virus, even if it is in its minor genetic differences.

SARS-COV-2 is a respiratory virus, meaning it is spread by droplets, so masks and social distances still work slowly for stability, even if they are different.

Earlier this week, Dr. Anthony Fauci said the variety of stress is something “very carefully adhered to.”
