SAN ANTONIO – The coronavirus pandemic led to a massive increase in unemployment and if that left you looking for a job, there are some available due to COVID-19.
The UTHealth School of Public Health in San Antonio is recruiting for full-time and part-time positions as COVID-19 case investigators and contact trackers for Metro Health. The minimum education requirement is a high school diploma.
Case investigators will receive $ 18 an hour and contact trackers will receive $ 15 an hour. Both full-time and part-time positions will offer benefits, according to the UTHealth website.
What is contact tracking and how does it work with COVID-19?
“Case Investigators / Contact Tracers will be responsible for connecting with patients with COVID-19, as well as locating and advising people with whom those patients have had contact during the course of their infection,” states the list of jobs
Hiring case investigators is prioritized over contact trackers.
Case investigators will be required to initiate contact with patients who have recently been diagnosed with COVID-19 and provide information to their contacts, identifying potential exposures.
Contact trackers will provide approved information on Texas quarantine procedures and refer individuals to test sites if necessary.
If you get a call from a number ‘210-207’, answer it! Metro Health may be calling you for contact tracking.
Candidates for both positions will be trained.
