Utah reported 447 more Covid-19 cases, 17 deaths, 31K vaccinations on Friday



SALT LAKE CITY – The number of Utah’s Covid-19 cases rose to 447 on Friday, with 17 more deaths and 31,146 vaccinations, according to the Utah Health Department.

Of the deaths reported on Friday, 12 were in February. 19 happened earlier, but they are still being examined by medical examiners, the health department said.

The Department of Health estimates that there are 11,063 active covid-19 cases in Utah. According to the health department, the average number of positive cases in seven days is 4 47 at. The positive test rate per day is now 8.3% for those periods registered with the “people over people” method. The seven-day average positive test rate calculated using the “test over test” method is now 2.4%.

State data show that currently 176 Kovid-19 patients are hospitalized in Utah, including 61 in intensive care. According to the Department of Health, about 73% of all intensive care unit beds in Utah, including about 76% of ICU beds in 16 referral hospitals in the state, are filled. About 55% of non-ICU hospital beds are occupied by beds.

A total of 1,111,185 vaccine doses have been given in the state, up from 1,080,039 on Thursday. A total of 7,737,733 Utahns have now received at least one vaccine dose, while 206,988 are fully vaccinated. A total of 1,300,120 vaccine doses have now been shipped to Utah.

The new numbers indicate a 0.1% increase in positive cases since Thursday. In Utah, 2,320,731 people have tested positive for COVID-19 so far, with 16.4% testing positive for COVID-19. The total number of tests conducted since the epidemic began has risen to 15,565 since Thursday and now stands at 4,082,117. Of those, 5,967 were people who had not previously been tested for COVID-19.

  • A Salt Lake County man between the ages of 65 and 84 was hospitalized when he died.
  • A Salt Lake County man aged 18 and 24 was hospitalized when he died.
  • A Salt Lake County man over 85 years old and a resident of a long-term care facility
  • A man from Toule County, who was over 85 years old and died, was hospitalized.
  • Two men from Washington County, aged 65 to 84, were hospitalized when they died.
  • A Cash County woman, aged 25 to 44, was hospitalized after her death
  • Three Salt Lake County women aged 65 to 84 were hospitalized when they died.
  • U 45 to 64 A 64-year-old woman from Yuvatih County, who was hospitalized when she died
  • A Washington, D.C., Washington County woman, aged 65 to 84, was hospitalized after her death.
  • A Weber County woman, aged between 65 and 84, was hospitalized after her death

Friday’s average total is 80,787. Gives a total confirmed cases, of which 15,241 are hospitalized and 2,058 die from the disease. According to the health department, a total of 669,6666 Kovid-11 cases are now being recovered.
