The Batmobile has been busted.
The U.S. Marshals Service is auctioning off a replica of the Caped Crusader’s car, along with two other mobile movie celebrities who were among the seized assets of convicted Medicare scammer Ryan Sheridan. The former owner of an Ohio drug and alcohol rehabilitation center is currently serving a seven-and-a-half-year prison sentence and owes more than $ 24 million in restitution.
Along with the Tim Burton-era Batmobile, which is based on a 1995 Chevrolet Caprice Classic, the auction includes a custom DeLorean to look like the one featured in “Back to The Future” and a 1959 Cadillac converted to ECTO- 1 of “Ghostbusters”. “
The auction will take place on August 1 at Skipco Auto Auction in Canal Fulton, Ohio, where only 120 people will be allowed to attend due to social distancing measures, but online bids will also be accepted.
This is not the only recent case of a possible Batman who has been on the wrong side of the law. In February, a $ 850,000 replica of Ben Affleck’s Batman-driven car was seized in Moscow for not being legal on the road.
