Echo Buds from Amazon has just received a major software update that prevents an overheating problem and prolongs battery life. However, it will take a bit of courage to install the update first, as your Echo Buds might overheating as part of the process.

In an email to Echo Buds owners, Amazon says that overheating only occurs on rare occasions while the headphones are in the charging case. Amazon hasn’t disclosed the exact cause of the problem, but it’s dangerous enough for the company to ask all Echo Bud owners to install the software update for version 318119151 as soon as possible.
