Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky is planning to hold a big press conference. It can be scheduled to coincide with the second anniversary of his presidency in the spring of 2021.
The presidential press secretary, Yulia Mendel, recounted this in an interview with the television channel ZIK.
In particular, when asked when Zelensky’s next meeting with journalists will be, he replied that large interviews are already planned.
“Of course, we are planning a press conference for the second anniversary. But there will be preliminaries … we will give, if there is any need,” Mendel said.
We will remember, in December, Zelensky gave two great interviews. In one of them he stated that in the event of military aggression by Russia from occupied Crimea, a general mobilization in Ukraine would be necessary. At the same time, he added that he didn’t even want to imagine such a situation.
In an interview with The New York Times, he also expressed his hope that the new president of the United States, Joe Biden, will strengthen the negotiations in the Normandy format for a peaceful settlement of the situation in Donbass. In addition, according to him, the United States cannot do without the unemployment of Crimea.
