The president inspected the fighting positions, familiarized himself with the conditions of service and honored the fallen heroes in the symbolic alley of memory built at the site where the soldiers were killed.
On the Day of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with the military in the area of the Joint Forces Operation in the Donetsk region, reports the presidential press service.
Zelensky examined the combat positions and became familiar with the conditions of service.
It also honored the fallen heroes in the symbolic memory alley built at the site of the soldiers’ deaths.
The president congratulated the military on the holiday and presented them with state awards and valuable gifts.
The military presented the president with a memorable memory: an installation made up of fragments of enemy artillery shells.
