Zelensky signs law on minimum wage increase as of September 1 / GORDON

On August 29, both Verkhovna Rada President Dmitry Razumkov and President Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed the law on increasing the minimum wage in Ukraine.

On August 29, the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, signed Bill No. 3963, which provides for an increase in the minimum wage to 5000 UAH from September 1. This was reported in the Office of the President of Ukraine.

The head of state was the initiator of the law. On August 6, he submitted his draft to the Verkhovna Rada.

The bill, which provides for an increase in the minimum wage to 5,000 UAH, was adopted by deputies on August 25 in an extraordinary session.

On August 29, the document adopted by the Verkhovna Rada was signed by its spokesman Dmitry Razumkov.

On July 28, the State Statistics Service reported that the official average salary has increased in Ukraine: the average nominal salary of a full-time employee of companies, institutions and organizations amounts to 11,579 UAH, which is 2.5 times higher than the minimum wage (4723 UAH).
