Deputy Director of the Office of the President Kirill Tymoshenko says that Ukrainians were not prohibited from going abroad to work. He described the situation with migrant workers in an interview with LIGA.net.
According to him, there is no decision to simply prohibit departure, because people cannot be prohibited from flying away, but this process may be limited.
At the same time, they promise the alternative of working abroad: cheap loans for small and medium-sized businesses, as well as an affordable mortgage.
“We have been working with the Ministry of Finance for two weeks, the president assigns us the task of having really cheap loans: 5-9%,” said Tymoshenko.
He also added that within a day or two there will be a supply of cheap mortgages for the population, in the region of 10%.
The deputy director of the OP convinces that now, according to the authorities, it is better that the Ukrainians are in the country, regardless of whether they are working or not.
According to him, the state wants to understand the reason for the Ukrainians’ departure abroad. If there are formal long-term job applications, they will be considered by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the government. However, it did not explain why the authorities have the right to make such decisions for individuals.
“We do not want these to be tourists who will return to the country in three days or a week, and we will not know what to do with them. We only set up a normal observation system thanks to the application of the House,” said Tymoshenko.
Recall recently in the cabinet began to receive requests from EU countries with a request to provide Ukrainian workers due to the marriage of labor hands.
The government said they were ready to discuss sending Ukrainians abroad, but subject to an agreement on conditions, including official employment for three months.
