Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskyy congratulated Ukrainians on Christmas and urged not to forget about the people who protect Ukrainians on two fronts: the army and the doctors.
The head of state published the Christmas speech on Telegram. He described as positive that the Ukrainians do not have disputes over the date of Christmas.
Zelenskiy pointed out that the Christmas atmosphere in 2020 is scarce for everyone.
“It was a year of really big trials, a shocking pandemic and quarantines, new economies and significantly limited communications. But still, it is imperative to try to put the difficult emotions of this year aside to have a clear heart for 2021,” wrote the President.
He stressed that winter holidays are traditional for our people, as well as for many others, they have become a time of family communication.
“In our daily search, we often pay the utmost attention to everyone but not our family members. This is wrong. Right now, we really need to stop and spend at least a few days with our loved ones. Winter break is a moment. for the family and a Christmas story, “Zelensky said.
He also urged to remind people that even in this special moment, they simply cannot withdraw from their tasks even for a day.
“These are men and women in our Armed Forces. And medical workers who protect us on the second front, the covid. Ukraine will always be grateful to each of its defenders,” the head of state stressed.
