Zelensky, like any citizen of the state, can share his impressions on certain high-profile information, but nothing more – explained the office of the president

The president cannot revoke the presumption of innocence against individuals, the president’s office said.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has neither the right nor the obligation to evaluate court decisions or charges against judges. This is stated in the message from the office of the presidency, published on Thursday, September 3.

The president cannot revoke the presumption of innocence in relation to individuals, the president’s office noted, commenting on appeals to Zelensky to respond to charges against the judges of the Kiev District Administrative Court.

“The president, like any citizen of the state, can share his impressions of certain resonant information on open data of criminal processes, but nothing else,” emphasized the office of the president.

As you know, on July 17, searches were carried out in the District Administrative Court. On the same day, the NABU reported the suspicion to the head of the Kiev District Administrative Court, Pavel Vovk, his deputy Yevgeny Ablov and five other judges.

According to the investigation, Vovk and his subordinates acted within the framework of a criminal organization, which aimed to seize state power by establishing control over the Highly Qualified Commission of Judges of Ukraine, the High Council of Justice, and creating artificial obstacles in their job.

In mid-August, Attorney General Irina Venediktova sent a proposal to the High Council of Justice to suspend Pavel Vovk and his colleagues.
