Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky promised to say after local elections who is to blame for the fact that the Delphi tanker could not be removed from the Odessa beach for a long time and with which political party these people are associated.
The head of state made the corresponding statement during a press conference in Odessa on Saturday 12 September.
“For ten months, the owners did not give the state any opportunity for us to engage in these works. The local authorities could not do anything. Nobody could do anything fundamentally with the owners. We spoke with them, I think they are criminals, because they said a lie and me personally. ”They asked us to give a month and said they would find a company that would pick up this Delphi tanker on the beach,” Zelensky said.
He added that the authorities were interested in the fact that the tanker “was not marked and without flags.”
“Everyone was scared and they told us there were some Western beneficiaries. We found the beneficiaries. We will not say the name of the political party, because they will say that I said this before the local elections. We will wait for the local elections to end, and then we will tell them who are the beneficiaries of this “western” and “modern” tanker, Zelensky said.
According to the president, the owners of Delphi did not allow their beach to be removed because they wanted to make money from it.
“Just to cut it into metal, how these people” cut “our country their whole lives,” he said.
