President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, during a working trip to Vinnitsa on Tuesday, September 29, held a meeting of the National Reform Council, in which the participants discussed three reforms: the State Inspection of Architecture and Construction, the use of the subsoil and the simplification of consumer connection to power grids, said the press service of the head of state.

“Each one of the reforms – SACI, use of the subsoil and simplification of the connection to the electrical networks – is the creation of prerequisites for regional competition, which will help each community to attract investors to its territory,” said the first Minister Denis Shmygal at the meeting. service of the President of Ukraine.

The prime minister pointed out that at this time the authorities have reached the end of reforming the SACI and a draft bill has already been prepared, which has been discussed with the interested parties.

For her part, the deputy director of the Office of the Presidency, Yulia Kovaliv, emphasized that construction permits and connection to electricity grids will have a direct impact on the creation of new jobs and industrial potential.

“Each of these things, if adopted, will simplify, add a small percentage of economic growth, and make life easier for ordinary people as well as market participants,” said Mikheil Saakashvili, head of the Executive Committee of the National Council of Reforms of Ukraine.

This was the second meeting of the National Reform Council. As a result of the results of the first, President Zelensky signed the bill “On state support for investment projects with significant investments” and the corresponding amendments to the Tax and Customs Code. The Verkhovna Rada has already examined it in the first reading, now the bill is being drafted in the commission for the second reading.

The deputy director of OP Kovaliv pointed out that in the next week of sessions, the Verkhovna Rada should consider a bill on “investment babysitters”, and from January 1, 2021, this document will function in full force.
