Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskyy appointed Andriy Boychuk as head of the Ivano-Frankivsk regional state administration.
As reported on the head of state’s website, Zelensky personally handed Boychuk an official certificate in the Office of the President. (to see the photo, scroll to the bottom of the page).
He wished the new head of the Regional State Administration strength and conscious work for the benefit of the region.
Andrey Boychuk was born in 1976 in Ivano-Frankovsk. Graduated from Ivano-Frankovsk State Technical University of Oil and Gas (mechanical engineer). He worked on structures for the maintenance of gas pipelines.
He returned to Ivano-Frankovsk relatively recently, because he lived in Kiev for almost 10 years (he held various positions in the Ukrtransgaz company, in 2014-2015 he was director of the Department for the operation and reform of the oil and gas sector of the Ministry of Energy and Coal Industry of Ukraine), and before these 8 years – in Odessa.
During the Revolution of Dignity, he was the 37th centurion of the Maidan Self-Defense. On February 18, 2014, he was a centurion operating guard in Mariinsky Park during the assault on the Self-Defense Forces by titushki and soldiers of the Internal Troops.
After the flight of President Viktor Yanukovych from the country, the 37 ° C under the leadership of Boychuk took 93 diplomatic institutions in Kiev under protection.
With the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic this year, he founded the charitable foundation Volunteer Initiatives Center, which was dedicated to manufacturing overalls for medical institutions and police in the Carpathian region.
As OBOZREVATEL reported, in November Zelensky fired the heads of three regional state administrations: Ivano-Frankivsk Vitaly Fedorov, Odessa Maxim Kutsoy and Sumskaya Roman Grishchenko. The basis in all cases was the statements of regional leaders.
Subsequently, the president appointed Maria Savko Acting President of the Ivano-Frankivsk Regional State Administration.
