Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s tour of Asian countries should take place in the second half of 2021, said Igor Zhovkva, deputy director of the president’s office.
The office of the President of Ukraine is working on preparing a tour of the Head of State, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, to Asian countries. This is stated in an article by the deputy director of the Prosecutor’s Office Igor Zhovkva, published in ZN.UA on January 2.
“We are working on organizing an Asian tour of the President of Ukraine in the second half of 2021. There are many economic interests in [Южной] Korea, Vietnam, Thailand, Singapore – these will be the main directions for this tour, “he said.
Zhovkva noted that the key task in relations with China is the development of mutually beneficial trade and economic cooperation, and that India should “fully open up to Ukraine” and there are necessary prerequisites for this.
Zelenskiy was elected President of Ukraine on April 21, 2019, and took office on May 20.
In May 2020, Zhovkva announced that the president would go on a tour of Asia after the end of the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic.
