Zelensky fired Tupitsky from office again

Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed a decree on the removal of Alexander Tupitsky for a month from the post of head of the KSU.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy removed the President of the Constitutional Court, Alexander Tupitsky, for a month. Zelensky signed the corresponding decree on Friday, February 26.

“To remove Tupitskiy Oleksandr Nikolaevich from the office of a judge of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine from February 28, 2021 for a period of one month,” the decree says.

In turn, the Administrative Court of Cassation within the Supreme Court announced the receipt of a claim in which the plaintiff challenges a similar decree from Zelensky of December 29.

“The question of the opening of the process in the case will be resolved by the judge-rapporteur within the five days following the date of receipt of the claim by the administrative court,” it was reported.

We will recall that on December 29 Zelensky removed the head of the KSU Tupitsky from his post for a period of two months “in the interest of restoring justice.”

In turn, the KSU recognized Zelensky’s decree as an abuse of power. The judges concluded that Tupitsky must continue to fulfill his official duties.
