The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, by his decrees, replaced the leadership of the departments of the Security Service of Ukraine in the Kirovograd and Lviv regions.
Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskyy made several personnel changes in the leadership of the Security Service of Ukraine. The decrees on the firing and appointment of officials were posted on the president’s website on January 16.
By the first decree, he released Sergei Kudinova by the leadership of the SBU National Academy. Kudinov held this position for four years, starting on April 14, 2016. Instead, Zelensky appointed Andrei Chernyak. Previously, he worked in the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
Furthermore, Anatoly Dublik was removed from the post of head of the department for the protection of the national statehood of the SBU; Colonel Alexander Kuksa was appointed to this place. In 2014, Kuksu was wounded in the battles near Slavyansk.
Alexander Nakonechny became the head of the SBU department in the Kirovograd region in place of the fired Ivan Osipchuk.
The SBU office in the Lviv region was headed by Ivan Osipchuk, from this position Zelensky fired Yuri Goncharov. Dmitry Nevedrov was appointed head of the SBU department in the Nikolaev region.
