Zelensky spoke about the conflict in Karabakh

The head of state believes that the question of assistance to one of the parties to the conflict cannot even be raised.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Ukraine supports the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan, but the option of military assistance to Armenia or Azerbaijan in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict cannot be considered. He said this during a conversation with journalists in the Chernivtsi region.

Zelensky highlighted the strengthening of relations with Azerbaijan in recent years.

“The question of assistance to one of the parties cannot even be raised. We call for dialogue between Armenia and Azerbaijan and the reduction of the conflict. But regarding relations with Azerbaijan, in the last two years they are special. They are very powerful in the economic and geopolitical directions, “he said. Zelensky.

He also described the mutual support of the countries in matters of territorial integrity and sovereignty of others as an important aspect.

“We support the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Azerbaijan, as they do with ours. They frankly say that the illegal annexation of Crimea took place and they support our sovereignty and territorial integrity. Therefore, here we support each other,” Zelensky said.

In addition, the head of the Ukrainian state noted that such conflicts cannot be called frozen, since this state cannot be permanent.

“I want to draw the attention of Western media, society and partners that there are no such frozen conflicts. They can be frozen for a certain time. This is our position, because we have a war in Donbass,” Zelensky emphasized, adding that there can be no frozen conflict.

Let us remind you that on the eve of the People’s Deputy of the Servants of the People faction Lyudmila Marchenko, on the air of the television channel Ukraine 24, announced that Ukraine was ready to provide military assistance to Azerbaijan should such a need arise.

Later, Ukraine’s Interior Minister Arsen Avakov denied this statement, saying that Ukraine would not provide military assistance to either side in this conflict and suggested looking for a tablet for the people’s deputy. The Servant of the People party called Marchenko’s statement his “personal opinion” and recalled that only the president and the government can make such decisions.
