CoviShield side effects in Ukraine were recorded in 0.5% of cases
Only half a percent of vaccinated Ukrainians complained about the side effects of vaccination, they say in the OP.
In Ukraine, side effects from the COVID CoviShield vaccine were recorded in 0.5% of vaccinated people; all “side effects” were mild. This was stated by President Yulia Mendel’s press secretary on the Dom channel’s Vzglyad s Bankova program on Sunday, March 21.
“Fever, weakness – these are side effects, quite simple and short-lived, they were counted in Ukraine as 0.5% and everything is in a mild form,” Mendel said.
A spokeswoman for the president recalled that Ukrainians are being vaccinated with CoviShield, manufactured under license from AstraZeneca. WHO and European vaccine regulator confirm AstraZeneca does not cause blood clots, Mendel said
“In Europe, 17 million people have been vaccinated with this particular vaccine, and only about 40 people have blood clots. In other words, one case for every 0.5 million vaccines,” explained Yulia Mendel.
In his opinion, the AstraZeneca vaccine “got the most” among the most popular drugs in terms of computing, as this drug is one of the most affordable.
Let us remember that less than 4 thousand Ukrainians were vaccinated against COVID the day before. 7,660 fewer vaccines were administered on Saturday than the day before. 134 mobile teams were vaccinated.
The EU still cannot share COVID vaccines
