Fyodor Venislavsky, Presidential Representative at the Constitutional Court
The presidential representative in the Constitutional Court considers the salary restrictions of civil servants imposed by the Rada illegal.
The Constitutional Court reasonably ruled that it was illegal to restrict the high salaries of government officials during the quarantine period. This was announced on Friday, August 28, by the presidential representative in the Constitutional Court, Fedor Venislavsky, reports RBC-Ukraine.
According to him, the Court’s decision to recognize the aforementioned restrictions as unconstitutional is absolutely legitimate.
“As for wage restrictions, the Constitutional Court legitimately recognized such restrictions as unconstitutional. The Verkhovna Rada had no right to introduce them through changes to the state budget,” Venislavsky said.
As reported, the Constitutional Court lifted restrictions on the salaries of public servants introduced during the quarantine period.
We will recall, earlier, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy presented to the parliament the question of the abolition of restrictions on the salaries of officials in the amount of 47 thousand hryvnia, but withdrew it on election day.
