The newly elected 46th President of the United States was congratulated by world leaders, as well as former President Barack Obama and former White House candidate Hillary Clinton.

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, German Chancellor Angela Merkel, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy congratulated Joe Biden on winning the US presidential election, Interfax Ukraine writes.

“Congratulations to Joe Biden for winning the US presidential election and Camila Harris for his historic achievement,” Johnson tweeted. He added that he hopes to work together “from climate change to trade and security.”

Angela Merkel emphasized: “The American citizens have made a decision. Joe Biden will become the 46th President of the United States of America. I wish him happiness and success from the bottom of my heart and congratulate Kamala Harris, who was elected Vice President of his country”.

Justin Trudeau also wrote on the social network that he is waiting for the start of joint work with the newly elected president of the United States. “Our countries are close friends, partners and allies. The nature of our relationship is unique compared to the rest of the world,” Trudeau said.

Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky congratulated Democratic candidate Joe Biden on his victory in the presidential race. “Ukraine is optimistic about the future of the strategic partnership with the United States,” Zelensky wrote.

Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton wrote their congratulations to Joe Biden and Kamala Harris on social media.

Recall that several of the major US media announced early on Saturday that, according to their forecasts, the US Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden is getting enough votes to win.

We also write that Trump doubts the fair counting of votes.
