Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed a decree appointing a new ambassador to Sweden. Andrii Plakhotniuk became that.
This was reported by the press service of the Presidency.
The corresponding decree was promulgated on Monday, September 21.
“Appoint Plahotniuk Andrey Nikolaevich as plenipotentiary ambassador of Ukraine to the Kingdom of Sweden,” says decree No. 402/2020.
We will remember, today Zelensky also appointed an ambassador to Italy. Yaroslav Melnik became that.
Additionally, on August 12, the president signed a decree appointing Oksana Dromaretskaya as Ukraine’s ambassador to Mexico. Zelensky also appointed an ambassador to Cyprus, who was Ruslan Nimchinsky.
We add that on September 10 Vladimir Zelensky dismissed the ambassadors in Korea and Israel. At the same time, the president appointed new ambassadors to Israel and Kazakhstan. They were Evgeny Korniychuk and Pyotr Vrublevsky.
It was previously reported that Ukraine’s ambassador to Croatia, Vasily Kirilich, was simultaneously appointed ambassador to Bosnia and Herzegovina. The corresponding decree was promulgated on July 28.
