Zelensky appointed a new director of Ukroboronprom

Yuri Gusev, former head of the Kherson Regional State Administration, became the Director General of State Concern Ukroboronprom.

Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskyy appoints Yuri Gusev as Executive Director of State Concern Ukroboronprom… This is stated in Presidential Decree No. 532/2020 of December 3.

So, by the above decree, Gusev was removed from the post of chairman of the Kherson Regional State Administration.

Likewise, by means of another decree, Igor Fomenko was relieved of his functions as Director General of the State Concerned. Ukroboronprom.

Gusev worked as chairman of the Kherson regional state administration since July 15, 2019. Previously, he was engaged in business, since 2009 he worked in the government, in particular as Deputy Minister of Defense (2015 – 2016). During his work in government positions, he also directed the Department of National Projects and Investment of Gosinvestproekt (2011 – 2014).

Note that Gusev’s removal from this post was coordinated by the Cabinet of Ministers the day before.
