During a conversation with the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, the President of the United States, Joe Biden, assured that their conversation will not be the last, said Igor Zhovkva, deputy head of the office of the President of Ukraine.

The first conversation between the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, and the President of the United States, Joe Biden, held on April 2, did not cover all the topics they planned to touch on. On April 3, the deputy head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Igor Zhovkva, told LB.ua.

“The leaders did not manage to discuss all the issues. For example, there was not enough time to discuss issues of economic interaction, but these issues will be discussed in the framework of subsequent contacts. After all, President Biden assured that this conversation is definitely not it’s the last one, “he said.

Zhovkva believes that Biden’s main message in his conversation with Zelensky is that “the United States will not allow anyone to untie their hands with impunity for further aggressive actions” in the region where Ukraine is located.

According to the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Andriy Yermak, the conversation between the heads of the United States and Ukraine lasted about 50 minutes. The White House said Biden “reaffirmed America’s unwavering support for Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity in the face of continued Russian aggression in Donbas and Crimea.” Interlocutors also discussed reforms in Ukraine and the fight against the coronavirus pandemic.

Zelensky said he discussed with Biden the situation in Donbass and the fight against corruption in Ukraine. In addition, according to Zelensky, he spoke with Biden about the United States’ participation in the Crimean platform and “the future visit of President Biden to Ukraine.”

Biden took over as president United States January 20. His administration has consistently supported Ukraine.
