Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky, who is being treated in an isolated ward in Feofania with special communications, announced in March that politicians would not have VIP conditions in Ukrainian hospitals.
So, in a video message dated March 26, the head of state said that the prime minister of Ukraine had the task of solving the problem of so-called VIP cameras and canceling all regulations that require it. (scroll to the bottom of the page to see the video).
“We are not a first, and there will be no fancy cameras for” Central Committee members, “Zelensky said at the time.
According to him, not a single politician or businessman, in state and communal hospitals, will have better conditions than an ordinary Ukrainian.
“You will be precisely in those wards and those hospitals that you have built in this country for 28 years. Perhaps then you will understand what it is to not be able to be treated in Switzerland or Israel,” the president emphasized.
He added that the same conditions apply for everyone, there will be no exceptions for senior state officials: the president, the prime minister and the spokesman of the Verkhovna Rada.
However, now Zelensky has changed his point of view and has agreed to be treated at the elite Feofaniya hospital.
At the same time, the adviser to the head of the OP, Mikhail Podolyak, said that the president was hospitalized for not equipping a special room in his residence. Zelenskiy was placed in an isolated ward, from where he can work.
Journalists who managed to enter the territory of “Feofania” said that the hospital building where the head of state is located has actually been turned into a secure facility.
Ukraine’s President Yulia Mendel’s press secretary said Zelensky has mild symptoms of the disease.
However, Health Minister Maxim Stepanov recently announced the testimony in which coronavirus patients are hospitalized. Among them, there is no mild course of the disease.
