The Zaporozhye Automobile Construction Plant (ZAZ) signed an agreement for the assembly of Renault passenger cars. The cars will be produced for the domestic market at the plant’s facilities, the ZAZ press service reported on September 10.

Before launching production, the Ukraine plant underwent a modernization to fully comply with Groupe Renault’s international quality standards, it was reported.

“The Alliance Production Way (APW) system has been deployed at the Ukrainian plant, according to which Groupe Renault group cars are assembled in more than 130 countries,” ZAZ added.

The company is committed to providing information on the model range, production volumes and sales markets soon.

“Localized assembly allows us to be close to our customers and tailor the offer and service to the needs of the market,” Nikolay Evdokimenko, director of the board of ZAZ, commented on the agreement.
