People’s Deputy Oleksandr Yurchenko was released from pre-trial detention on bail of 3.1 million hryvnia. They put an electronic bracelet on him.
This was reported to RBC-Ukraine by the spokesperson for the Anti-Corruption Special Prosecutor, Olga Postolyuk.
“Yesterday, Yurchenko left the remand center after posting bail,” Postolyuk said.
Recall, last week, Alexander Yurchenko was informed about the suspicion of receiving and inciting bribery. The National Anti-Corruption Office of Ukraine has published the materials of the case, where the people’s deputy hinted covertly the need to give him a bribe: “to provide him buns”.
According to detectives, Yurchenko asked for $ 13,000 to make proposals to the bill and then $ 200,000 to bribe the parliamentarians.
After that, Yurchenko was expelled from the Servant of the People faction.
Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky said that Yurchenko will definitely go to jail.
Earlier in the week, the Supreme Anti-Corruption Court (VAKS) chose Yurchenko as a preventive measure in the form of arrest with an alternative to bail of 3.1 million hryvnias.
