Yulia Kovaliv is stepping down as deputy director of the Office of the President of Ukraine.
This was announced Sunday night by the OP’s press service.
Kovaliv said that during a year and a half of work “I had a great challenge and at the same time a great pleasure to help in the preparation and implementation of structural changes in the economic sector.”

The OP’s press service, broadcasting Vladimir Zelensky’s reaction to the resignation, claims that he highlighted Kovaliv’s important role in his team.
According to the head of state, he made a significant contribution to the economic development of Ukraine. Thus, with their participation, measures were developed to support individuals and businesses during the period of strengthening quarantine restrictions, several important laws were passed, and close cooperation of Ukraine with international financial organizations was established, in particularly with the IMF, “says the message.
Separately, the OP noted that Kovaliv remains on Zelensky’s team.
She was appointed to the position at the OP in September 2019.
Earlier today, the Cabinet of Ministers appointed Yuriy Vitrenko as interim energy minister.
