The conflict in the region will not be resolved until the international community recognizes the right of Karabakh residents to self-determination, they say in Armenia.

The Karabakh conflict will end after the international community recognizes the right of the region’s residents to self-determination. Armenia’s Foreign Minister Ara Ayvazyan said this, Armenpress reported Thursday, December 3.

“The conflict will be considered resolved only if the international community recognizes the right to self-determination exercised by the people of Artsakh. During the war, the international community strengthened and deepened the perception we have insisted on for 26 years. It is about a people free and dignified. living in their historic homeland, “said the minister.

Recall that on December 1, the Lachin region passed under the control of Azerbaijan, except for the 5-kilometer corridor. On November 20, the Aghdam region came under the control of Baku, and on November 25, the Kelbajar region.

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev signed a decree on the establishment of Victory Day. Initially, it was scheduled for November 10, the day of the end of hostilities in Nagorno-Karabakh. But then it was postponed to November 8. This decision was made because November 10 in Turkey is Mustafa Kemal Ataturk’s memorial day.
