The People’s Deputy of the Voice Yaroslav Zheleznyak became the chairman of the faction in Verkhovna Rada. He wrote about this on his Telegram channel.
«Now my colleagues from Golos have elected me as the new president of our faction, and Roman Kostenko, as a deputy. Now next year I plan to work in such a way that I am not only the youngest faction leader in the history of the Verkhovna Rada, but also the most effective for our team, ”he said.
Previously, Zheleznyak was the deputy head of the faction. He is also the first deputy head of the parliamentary commission on financial, fiscal and customs policy. The head of the Golos faction was Sergei Rakhmanin.
Golos explained that they decided to rotate the leadership.
«The presidency of a faction is not a lifetime privilege or a life sentence. Leadership rotation is not only a normal process, but also necessary for a young political force, where there are enough bright and self-sufficient personalities, “Rakhmanin said.
According to him, he wants to focus on legislative work and issues related to national security, as he is a member of the national security, intelligence and defense committee.
