In one of the Indian states of Karnataka, workers looted the office of a factory where the smartphones of the American company Apple are produced. The eyewitness video was posted by Newsflare on December 13.

About 1,000 people gathered outside the Winstrom Corp. plant. The reason for their discontent was the loss of part of their wages. They demanded to pay the debt.

The conflict escalated into riots, during which workers set at least one car on fire. The protesters were later dispersed by the police with batons.

The Taiwanese company Winstrom Corp is a contractor for Apple. Its factory in Karnataka makes cheap iPhone SE phones.

Previously, Japanese analysts estimated that the components of the new iPhone 12 cost the manufacturer $ 373 and the iPhone 12 Pro – $ 406.
