The representation of the Russian Federation in the European Union announced inconsistencies in the situation with the poisoning of the opposition politician Alexei Navalny.

Before the debate in the European Parliament on the poisoning of the Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny, which took place on September 15, the Russian delegation to the European Union published nine questions to the representatives of the European Union.

In them, the Russian Federation drew attention to “the numerous inconsistencies in this case”.

“What is the reason why the Russian authorities are going after Navalny, given that his actual level of popularity is unlikely to reach 2%, according to a recent poll conducted in July by an independent non-governmental public opinion poll and the sociological research organization Levada Center? ” – noted in the message.

The representative office considers the German government’s reluctance to provide Russia with the results of a toxicological analysis carried out by the German armed forces laboratory as a discrepancy.

“Why is it advertised that the Novichok group’s military grade nerve agent was developed by the Soviet Union and then by Russia, ignoring the fact that for several years experts from Western countries and relevant NATO centers have been developing the products chemicals? associated with the “Novichok” group? For example, more than 150 patents have been issued in the United States for the military use of these chemicals, “the statement said.

The Russian mission also drew attention to the fact that Navalny, who was in a coma, was escorted from the Berlin airport to the Charite clinic by police and intelligence agents.

“Why were extraordinary security measures taken and the hospital itself turned into a high security facility long before Novichok was ‘opened’? Does this mean that Berlin knew something that neither Moscow nor Omsk knew? It should be noted that more than 60 biochemical tests were performed at the Omsk hospital, none of which showed signs of intoxication, ”the appeal says.

On August 20, the plane in which Navalny flew from Tomsk to Moscow, urgently landed in Omsk due to the deteriorating state of the politician.

Navalny was unconscious in the toxic intensive care unit of the emergency hospital No. 1 in Omsk. On the morning of August 22, he was flown to the Charite clinic in Berlin.

Traces of a nerve agent similar in composition to Novichok were found on Navalny’s body, according to a Sept. 2 statement by German government spokesman Steffen Seibert.

The “Charite” doctors reported on September 7 that Navalny was brought out of a medical coma and disconnected from the ventilator. On September 14, German doctors reported that the politician Feel better and it’s already getting up. September 15 oppositionist published the first post after the poisoning On Instagram.
