On Sunday, December 13, senior representatives of the World Health Organization arrived in Ukraine on an official visit: WHO Regional Director for Europe Hans Kluge and Chief of Country Support and Emergencies (CSE) Gundo Weiler.
On the agenda is the response to the coronavirus epidemic in Ukraine, as well as vaccination and transformation of the health system, according to the WHO Ukraine office Facebook page. (to see the photo, scroll the page to the end).
First, they met with the head of the organization’s representative office in Ukraine, Jarno Habikht, and with the chief sanitary doctor, the vice minister of health, Viktor Lyashko.
Over several days, they will also hold negotiations with representatives of the Cabinet of Ministers, the United Nations, humanitarian organizations, and development partners. A meeting with the doctors and a visit to the laboratory center are also planned.
As OBOZREVATEL reported, Ukraine has identified three groups of citizens who need to be vaccinated against the coronavirus. It includes 20 million people.
