Gebreyesus strongly opposed the abolition of quarantine in the countries of the world
The governments of countries that want to open borders and stop containing the spread of the coronavirus must expect unpleasant consequences, the WHO chief warned.
The lifting of quarantine restrictions by individual countries due to the coronavirus epidemic will have dire consequences. This was announced on Monday, August 31, by the director general of the World Health Organization, Tedros Adan Ghebreyesus, in a briefing, reports RBC-Ukraine.
According to him, the governments of countries that want to open borders and stop curbing the spread of the coronavirus should expect unpleasant consequences.
“The more states control the spread of COVID-19, the more they can open up. But canceling all measures at once without any control is a recipe for disaster,” said the WHO chief.
We will recall, earlier, the head of the WHO expressed his hope in the creation of a vaccine against the coronavirus within two years and in the maximum use of the tools available in the fight against the infection.
