The State Borders Committee of Belarus commented on the information about the closure of the republic’s borders with all neighboring countries. The department also listed the categories of people who are not subject to restrictions.
The comment was posted on the department’s official Telegram channel on October 29.
“In connection with the current epidemic situation in neighboring countries, the Republic of Belarus temporarily restricts entry to its territory through ground checkpoints for certain categories of people from Latvia, Lithuania, Poland and Ukraine,” says the entry.
The following are not subject to restrictions:
- employees of diplomatic missions and consular offices, documented by diplomatic and service passports;
- drivers of vehicles destined for international road transport;
- members of the crews of trains and locomotives of international railway communications.
The border guards also added that the checkpoint at the “Minsk” airport operates without the above restrictions.
Earlier, “Strana” reported on the quarantine restrictions in Slovakia: citizens will be prohibited from moving freely there without a negative coronavirus test result.
We also look at whether Ukraine faces a full quarantine after the shutdown in Germany and France.
