An understanding of when the heads of Ukraine, Germany, France and Russia will meet may come after the meeting of the advisers to the heads of state of the Four Normandy countries. This assumption was made by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in a telephone conversation with the President of the Republic of Lithuania, Gitanas Nauseda, according to the website of the head of state.
“I hope that after the meeting of the advisers to the leaders of the four Normandy countries, we will understand when the leaders of these countries will meet. We must all try to achieve peace,” Zelensky told his Lithuanian colleague.
Ukraine’s president briefed Nauseda on the current situation in Donbass and expressed concern about the flagrant violation of the general ceasefire by illegal armed groups on September 6, resulting in the death of a Ukrainian military man. Another VSUK fighter was also wounded under enemy fire.
Zelensky also expressed his gratitude to the Vilnius official and personally to Nauseda for their continued support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine.
The parties discussed measures being taken in Ukraine and Lithuania to counter the spread of the coronavirus and minimize the impact of the pandemic on citizens.
Earlier, “Strana” wrote that Zelensky demands to punish those responsible for the desecration of the Holodomor monument.
