Schoolchildren were allowed to use the Internet by setting requirements for school equipment and furniture.
The Ministry of Health issued new sanitary regulations for schools, establishing mandatory internal toilets, the Internet, and new principles of nutrition. This was stated by the Chief Medical Officer, Viktor Lyashko, in a briefing on Thursday, December 10.
The changes will take effect on January 1, 2021. In particular, each school will have to equip internal toilets, since so far every 10th school has external toilets.
“This leads to the fact that in the 21st century we expose children in such temperature conditions to the possibility of urological and genitourinary health problems. – Lyashko said.
In addition, the Ministry of Health allowed the use of wired and wireless Internet connections in educational institutions.
“If they use a wireless connection, that is, routers and Wi-Fi, they must be at least 2 meters from the floor and turned off during extracurricular hours,” Lyashko added.
The Ministry of Health also has equipment requirements.
“The preliminary standards are the 2001 standards. If it is personal computers, then the screen must be at least 15 inches. If personal computers are not possible and laptops are used, then the screen is allowed to be 14 inches. , but there must be a mouse and keyboard, “- explained Lyashko.
At the same time, for the prevention of postural disorders and scoliosis, it is necessary to select furniture by height and at least twice a year to transplant students to other rows.
“It will also prevent visual and hearing impairments,” Lyashko said.
The requirements also state a minimum of two to three sizes of furniture.
Schoolchildren who often suffer from colds, rheumatism and sore throats are recommended to be placed in the third row, from the window, closer to the inner wall, and those who live at a distance of more than 2 km from the educational institution must receive transportation for transportation to schools.
All school employees are required to undergo preventive medical examinations. Renting schools other than for educational needs is prohibited, and approaches to restoration have changed.
